Schools: Syracuse residents are in The Syracuse City School District which consists of 17 elementary schools, 6 K-8 schools, 6 middle schools and 6 high schools. There are numerous private schools which include St. Margaret's, Blessed Sacrament, Montessori, and St. Rose of Lima all Pre-Kindergarten through the 6th grade; The New School (Kindergarten through 6th); Manlius Pebble Hill (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th); Faith Heritage (Kindergarten through 12th); Christian Brothers Academy and Bishop Ludden (both 7th through 12th grades).

Shopping & Dining: One of the favorite places to shop is at Carousel Center, a shopping mall at the foot of Onondaga Lake. The mall covers 1.5 million square feet, is seven stories, and offers numerous shopping and entertainment experiences. Local restaurants in the downtown area include the BC Restaurant, Pastabilities, Clinton Square Cafe, Blue Tusk, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub, Lemon Grass, Opus, L'Adour, The Mission, Francesca's Cucina, Asti Cafe, Atillio's, Ilario's Tratoria and the famous Dinasaur Bar-B-Q.

Parks/Lakes/Recreation: Syracuse has parks, fields and recreation areas that fill up more than 1,000 acres. The city has 12 public pools and two public ice rinks. Residents can also enjoy the Oncenter, a downtown convention and entertainment complex which has a sporting arena, theaters and a convention center. There is also plenty of art to be appreciated in Syracuse. There is the 75-member Syracuse Symphony Orchestra as well as many other musical performers. There are museums, art galleries and places to patronize theater and the performing arts. Also, there are two annual outdoor jazz festivals in the city. One aspect of local culture Syracuse may be best known for is its college sports; Syracuse University basketball games are often attended by upwards of 30,000 fans, while its football games reach more than 40,000. Skaneateles is a town in Onondaga County, approximately 30 minutes southwest of Syracuse New York. Lourdes Camp at Ten Mile point on the eastern shore of the lake provides an outdoor camp, sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, for boys and girls between the ages of 7 throuh 14 to help them grow physically, spiritually, emotionally and socially through their camping experiences. Dewitt New York is a charming little town in Onondaga County that is located east of the City of Syracuse with easy access to downtown Syracuse NY and within a 25 minute drive to the airport. The town is also the site of most of the campus and all of the academic buildings of Le Moyne College. Le Moyne is an independent college, established by the Jesuits in 1946, which has evolved into a nationally acclaimed college of liberal arts and sciences that draws students from accross the United States and abroad.

Manlius is a town in Onondaga County, east of the city of Syracuse, New York. The population is estimated at over 32,000, making it the third largest suburb in metropolitan Syracuse. Students residing in the Town of Manlius may also reside within the East Syracuse-Minoa Central School District, or choose to attend Bishop Grimes Junior/Senior High, Christian Brothers Acamedy, Manlius Pebble Hill or other private schools in Metro Syracuse. Elementary schools: Fayetteville, Mott Road, Enders Road, Freemont and Minoa. Middle schools: Wellwood Middle School (formerly Fayetteville High School), Eagle Hill, and Pine Grove. High school: Fayetteville-Manlius and East Syracuse-Minoa.

Shopping & Dining: East Genesee Street is a main thouroughfare through Fayetteville which has numerous retail shops, eating establishments and a major outdoor shopping plaza (Fayetteville Towne Center). There are many chain restaurants in the area such as the Bonefish Grill, Carrabba's, J.P. Mulligans, Kirby's American Grill and Red Robin. Parks/Lakes/Recreation: There is a wide range of recreational activities available in the Town of Manlius. One can take pleasure in traveling the senic Erie Canal with it's formidable hiking/biking trail. Limestone & Butternut creeks wind through the Town of Manlius, which is used by fisherman. Green Lakes State Park is actually part of a primeval forest with two small lakes Green, Round) that have a beautiful blue/green color where you can enjoy fishing, non motorized boating, hiking, picnicing and golfing. Cicero is a town located on the southern shore of Oneida Lake and a northern suburb of metropolitan Syracuse. Cicero has a population of approximately 30,000 residents and is one of  is one of Central New Yorks fastest growing towns.
