Otisco is a town in Onondaga County located approximately 15 miles southwest of the City of Syracuse, New York. Otisco is a small rural agricultural community of 2506 residents with a beautiful lake as its centerpiece, hilly terrain, scenic landscapes and magnificent views. The Town of Otisco was formed in 1806 from parts of the towns of Pompey, Marcellus, and Tully.

Schools: Otisco residents are in the Tully School District which consists of one elementary (kindergarten through 6th grade) and one junior/senior high school (7th through 12th grade).

Shopping & Dining: There are local shops which provide the basic necessities for rural living. Larger stores, restaurants and super markets are within a 20 minute drive to Syracuse, NY.  Local restaurants include Footprints on the Lake and Ryfun's on the Lake.

Parks/Lakes/Recreation: Hunting, fishing and snowmobiling are favorite activities. Otisco Lake is approximately 6 miles long and 60 feet deep at its deepest point.  The lake is extremely popular in the summer for swimming, boating and fishing. There is a commercial marina and three public boat launching sites. On the first day of bass season, usually the second week in June, the lake fills with boats for the annual fishing derby. Otisco Lake Park is a 3 acre site which includes shoreline benches, open spaces for picnics, majestic evergreens and hundreds of feet of great fishing access. Three golf courses (Orchard Vali, Vesper Hills and Orchard Valley) are in the area.
